Finally!

been a while, I know. We're now firmly and finally ensconced in our place in St. Paul. The last 2 months are a blur, but that's to be expected. If we were missing snow we sure aren't now, but that's also to be expected.
Although it's only been about a month, there's news of a musical nature to share so it was time to write.
First off, the tunes posted here will be available for digital download by January 1st so keep an eye out. They're posted through CD baby but will also show up on your favorite music sites. Clint and I have been doing some music again, will continue our project despite his relocation to Pittsburgh. I'll be releasing songs in pairs, homage to the old 45s of my childhood that had an A and a B side.
A different musical tangent has caught me up - working with a Celtic group. Nice guys with a really diverse background spanning Early Music, Scottish songs, Indian and Persian Classical, and celto-british invasion rock bands like Jethro Tull. They have asked me to cover the fret stuff and I can't imagine a challenge I'd be happier to take up! The group is Rumgumption, their website is http://music.rumgumption.com/ so pay 'em a visit.
Chatting with multi-style fiddler Meaghan Dudle, looking at some projects for us. Ditto with international vocal great Diane Jarvi. There's just so much great stuff happening! Keep checking back.
For New Years, catch me with Cafe Accordion Orchestra from 6-9 P.M at the Loring Pasta Bar in Dinkytown, Minneapolis. Private party gig after that - sorry.
Everyone have a really safe New Year!!!!!

Been a while. We've got changes comin' on, and they're a good thing. Sheri and I decided to move back to St. Paul Minnesota as of December 1st. Music has been going good but with the current economy it makes sense to be in a bigger urban setting with 30 years worth of contacts built up. So, we load 'em up and head 'em out in a couple of weeks. Not terribly big fans of winter, but there is a beauty that is undeniable. I'm lucky now as well, have gigs down south that allow us to take breaks from the cold should we wish.
The other news is: I'll be doing a reworking of this website to reflect more about songwriting, something that I do most folks don't know about. A closet Tin Pan Alley guy, I guess. Check back.
See you in the snow....

We've been having great shows up here, nice crowds and good weather. Looks like some rain this weekend but our Sunday show is indoors, looking forward to it. New material and the launch of our new duo: Oui Haw!

We're up in Minnesota doing some shows, having a great time! The show at Orchestra Hall on Thursday went really well, we do another this morning which will be really fun. The folks and fans at the Minnesota Orchestra are so nice, and really like our sound. We booked some more for October 14th and 21st, so we've started working on additional bookings during that time so I'll keep everyone posted.
Also enjoyed playing the jazz cruise for Minneapolis radio station KBEM on Friday evening. It was a perfect night to be on the Mississippi, our trio Eurozone sounded great and everyone had a super time. Thanks Kevin!
More gigs this week, ending with a Lees House Concert Sunday evening the June 13th at 5:00. Café Mélange does the first set followed by our new alter-ego Oui Haw.
Oops - time to get ready and load the gear. Later, ya'll

Hey
The lap steel is up and running, learning some tunes and looking forward to learning more. Already working it into a song Sheri is singing!
We're getting ready to head to MN in about a week. Really looking forward to seeing all our friends, and to playing some gigs. Check out the calendar page for Sheri and my appearances, and keep an eye out for my new jazz project EuroZone!
